Every round, each player will be dealt 2 cards that only they can see. Then, 5 cards are dealt to the middle of the table in 3 stages for everyone to see. In the first stage, 3 cards called the "flop" are revealed. The second stage, the "turn," reveals one more card. The final stage reveals the last card and is called the "river." The player with the best hand, based on their cards as well as the ones in the middle, wins the round. Check the Texas Holdem hands guide in-game for a list of poker hand rankings. Each time cards are dealt (start, flop, turn, and river), players bet on winning the round with chips. Players must ante up a minimum bet after seeing their hands to participate in the round, and must match the highest bet on the table at all times. Matching the current bet is a "call," increasing the bet amount is a "raise," and forfeiting the round is a "fold." If nobody raises the minimum bet from the start of the game, then calling is referred to as a "check." If a player puts all of their chips on a bet, they are "all in." If an opponent runs out of money, a new one will take their place in the next round. The goal is to win as much money from the other players as possible.

Video poker is a relatively simple game. There are various types of video poker that might differ in terms of gameplay, but most commonly you are dealt five cards to begin with. You can choose any number of the cards to keep (or "Hold"). The remaining cards are then exchanged for new ones and your final combination is formed, with payouts awarded according to the payout table.
Probably the most well-known video poker game, and also one of the simplest ones. Jacks or Better video poker is played with classic cards (Ace to King in four suits) and jokers that substitute for any card to form the strongest possible winning combination.
This video poker game is quite different than the other four games on this list. Instead of getting five cards and choosing how many you want to keep, you start two cards and then are get another pair of cards, from which you have to pick one. After you choose the card you want to keep, the other one will "disappear", and you will get two more cards to complete your five-card hand.
The lowest winning combination is still a pair of jacks, but there are increased payouts for selected four of a kind combinations. That means, for example, that the payout for four aces is higher than the payout for four kings. This changes the optimal way to play the game, as well as increases the variance of the game.
Double Double Poker follows the same structure as Double Bonus Poker but offers even more "bonus" combinations with increased payouts. This further increases the variance, which means wins are less frequent, but tend to be bigger. If you like high-variance games, Double Double Bonus Poker is likely to be the best video poker game for you.
As we already mentioned, video poker requires you to make good decisions. It is a game of chance with a theoretical RTP (which might different for any specific game), but in order to reach the theoretical returns, you need to know which cards to hold and which to exchange for new ones.
We have a separate article about each of the five types of video poker listed above. Each article explains the specifics of each game and also contains a strategy that will teach you how to make correct decisions:
When it comes to online casino games, video poker tends to feel a bit dated. As games like slots, roulette and blackjack are more popular, they get more attention from game providers, new features and mobile-friendly versions. And video poker is left behind, at least slightly.
Of course, there are video poker games that can be played on mobile devices, but their number is a bit lower. If you want to play video poker for free on your mobile device, use the filter "Mobile Devices Supported" to display only games that will allow you to do so.
Our database contains thousands of free casino games for you to choose from. The vast majority of these games belong to the category of slot machines, but you can also choose roulette, blackjack, baccarat and other less common types of games.
Go to our full free casino game selection to browse the entire collection of casino games from all categories. And if you want to stick to video poker, choose one of the games from this list and enjoy it for free.

The tradeoff? Lower rewards rates for the selective players who seek out those games. And not just rewards reduced by half. Rewards that were reduced tenfold from other video poker games, which are already half of those on slot machines.
To put it on a percentage basis, slot players get 0.2 percent of their wagered returned to them in the form of free play. Most video poker players get 0.1 percent. Those who play the best video poker games get only 0.01 percent.
Switch to video poker and play 8-5 Jacks or Better, paying 97.3 percent with expert play, and your average return per $1,000 is $973. You only get 100 player rewards points, worth $1, but your total of $974 is still higher than the slot players are getting. 041b061a72
